If you have a thing for chilling out in nature like me, you may like to try out this new family-friendly bistro in the far eastern side of Singapore, i.e. Pasir Ris.

Just check out the surrounding greenery and the restaurant’s ambience. The place is located near the beach; probably a 10-minutes walk away. So get your Dunkel and soak in the refreshing air while seated outdoors, and take pleasure admiring the handsome horses that pass by you.

If you are wondering why horses are so near the cafe, it is because the restaurant is located next to the Gallop Stable. Check out my post on the Gallop Stables here.

On top of the peaceful surrounding to luxuriate in, enjoy a meal freshly prepared in the bistro’s kitchen.

I was there on consecutive evenings with my friends and subsequently with the family. My friends are all regularly there too, with their kids.

So, we ordered the food which they highly recommended.

Yummy Scrummy Dishes

My friends highly recommended the shepherd’s pie in Gallop Bistro, and the bistro’s staffs stressed that they prepared the pie from scratch.

It was delicious comfort food if you are into pies. We tried the butter chicken pie too, not knowing that it was tandoori chicken because we did not read the menu properly, and the kids could not handle it.

The crispy fries were a hit amongst the kids too.

Gallop Bistro’s burgers are fantastic. My friends love the vegan burger. I tried the pulled pork and the chicken burger (also pulled). The sauce was savoury, and it was easy for the young kids to chew on since the fillings were in small pieces. And everyone concluded that the onion marmalade in the burgers was excellent. Even my kids finished the onions all up!

Hubby tried the prawn pasta. The fussy him did not complain, so the dish should be at least passable.

I was disappointed with the lamb chop, though, as the chimichurri sauce turned out to be too salty for me.

The chocolate lava cake was fabulous. Unfortunately, we were too busy talking and eating, and I forgot to take a photo of it. This is the first time I truly enjoyed a chocolate lava cake, as I do not really like sweet desserts. The sweetness in the chocolate turned out to be just lovely for me, and its texture was light enough for one person to devour the entire cake.

Going to the Gallop Bistro?
