We love Maths games! It is the easiest way to get children to learn Maths. We previously used Monopoly to familiarise our older kids with counting money and units.

Now we use games to acquaint our three-year-olds with basic Maths. Our modified UNO game is a hit with the twins and highly successful in getting them to recognise numbers 0 to 9.

We also played other card games to help them count and match to the correct numbers.

Learning to write numbers at this junction (38 months old) is not critical to me even though I do give them opportunities to trace and write numbers.

Bingo Maths

Bingo is one of the other many ways that I will be utilising to encourage learning for the next couple of years, and Bingo has massive potential to help children learn Maths and English.

Bingo Printables

I am sharing here the Bingo printables that I have made for the twins. My Bingo printables contain numbers, dots for counting and words. For now, we will focus on numbers and counting dots.

How to play

In case you are not aware of the Bingo rules, it is very simple.

Call out the numbers from your number cards. If you have recently introduced numbers to them, it is probably a better idea to show them the number to help them with the matching.

Mark the number with a chip, Lego block or whatever counters you already have at home. Shout “Bingo!” or ask the child to shout on their own when he or she gets 4-in-a-row (horizontal, vertical or diagonal). It is more fun when you join the game and bond with your child!

In our instance, the twins prefer to fill up the entire Bingo board with chips!

Free Bingo Printables!

You can get the first three pages of my Bingo Numbers printables for free here. Numbers in these pages range from 0 to 12.

By downloading the above, you will automatically subscribe to my blog. If you do not wish to hear from me, free feel to unsubscribe from my mailers.

Laminate the papers for better durability.
