Tweens love mystery and excitement. Solving puzzles to get themselves out of locked rooms are thrilling and it can get them all charged up.

We went to another escape room in Singapore before. But with “body parts” lying all over the rooms, my tweens freaked out and did not enjoyed the experience at all.

Armed with the earlier experience, I called to ensure that the themes in Amazing Chambers Singapura are not eerie nor repulsive before purchasing the tickets.

Amazing Chambers Singapura

Amazing Chambers Singapura is located in Jalan Sultan, within a conservation site that was once home to the Sultan’s heir in the 1800s. As the current owner bought over the site on condition to preserve the building, we were reminded to handle the doors and windows with care. In fact, the important fittings are protected with fibre glass to ensure they remain in excellent conditions.

The escape rooms are located on the second floor of the building. A restaurant operates on the first floor.

Amazing Chambers Singapura

There are 5 escape rooms in the Amazing Chambers, themed according to Singapore’s history, such as the Sang Nila Utama, 1603 Changi Naval Battle, the Battle of Bukit Chandu, etc.

Amazing Chambers Singapura

My tweens can relate with some of the storylines as they have acquired some brief acknowledge of Singapore’s history during their Social Studies lessons.

Prior to entering the game room, we were required to keep our belongings in a locker. No cameras allowed, understandably.

1603 Changi Naval Battle

We happened to choose a theme that requires more brain work. We had to search for clues hidden in 3 rooms. The clues are everywhere, hidden in maps, puzzles, blocks, chess games, etc.

While these are not high-tech interactive puzzles, the magnetic sensors embedded in the props will unlock chests and drawers to the next clue once we get the first one right.

We were handled a cordless phone at the start of the game, so that we could call for help if needed. And yes, we needed a lot of help from the friendly staffs.

Sisters’ Island

The staffs recommended Sisters’ Island for our next visit with the tweens. There are more climbing and excitement involved, and thus the kids will love the experience. There must be at least one adult accompanying them.

Some Borrowed Photos

Since photography inside the rooms is not possible.

Our Verdict of Amazing Chambers Singapura

Yes! We will visit the place again! Once the Covid-19 restrictions are removed, this place will be awesome for more family fun and bonding!
