T-Play Khatib – My Preschoolers Played To Their Hearts’ Content

T-Play Khatib is a lovely Peranakan-themed indoor playground located in HomeTeamNS Khatib.

HomeTeamNS’ first T-play outlet is located in its Bukit Batok premise, and this Khatib playground is its second.

T-Play Khatib has partnered with The Intan, Singapore’s award-winning Peranakan Home Museum in the creation of this Peranakan-inspired playland. In fact, the indoor playground is Singapore’s first-ever Peranakan-themed playground.

The use of vibrant colours and Peranakan images all over the playground aims to bring the little kids a taste of the unique Peranakan culture while they immerse themselves in their exhilarating play.

Just look at the sitting corners for parents and caregivers. It felt like a mini-museum to me. I couldn’t take a full picture of the entire sitting area as it was filled with parents.

I love the use of vibrant colours here.

The iconic dragon slide was the highlight of my 4-year-old. The long tunnel slide was thrilling, and the little girl was so proud of herself going up the slide independently, rounds after rounds. I lost count, perhaps she zoomed down at least 15 times.

Reaching the top of the slide wasn’t exactly easy for a four-year-old. There were many obstacles to cross.

The easier way was to enter via the right side of the jungle gym, and made a big round across all the hurdles inside the jungle gym.

Another way, which is more achievable for the bigger kids is to enter from the bottom of the dragon. That means a lot of climbing. My big kids broke out into a sweat just after a few rounds of scaling up the dragon.

There are a few more slides in the premise that my kids love.

Interactive Trampoline

The interactive trampoline was my big boy’s favourite. He was probably getting too tall for the jungle gym and thus spent a lot more time on the trampoline instead.

This is not just any trampoline. There are 2 ways to play interactive games while bouncing on the trampoline. One is by hitting as many targets as possible within a time limit, and another way is by hitting the targets that brighten up within seconds. A super fun way to challenge one’s reaction while releasing his endorphins.

Unfortunately, my 4-year-old twins are not sufficiently tall to enjoy the game. They could only bounce aimlessly on the trampoline.

A word of caution though. You will require your full attention to the targets during your challenge session. Thus it is not safe for more than one person to be on the trampoline when the game is on.

The facilitators in T-Play Khatib were very careful with this and were always on the look-out for kids who did not abide by the rules, especially little ones like mine.

Foam Ball Shooting Arena

The foam ball shooting arena was another section for some rounds of fun.

There is a ball pit area on the left side of the playground and a smaller jungle gym, more suited for younger kids to discover their abilities.

Note that the indoor playground is currently operating at a maximum capacity of 50 pax due to Covid-19 measures. Thus it is advisable to book your session before going to avoid disappointment. Book here.

Once you arrive at the entrance, proceed to the self-help kiosk to print out your wrist tag. Remember to book for the accompanying adults as well so as to accurately account for the number of people entering the premises.

Every play session lasts for 2 hours, and the facility will be clean and sanitized before the next session.
