The 2018 June holidays are here! My children are so looking forward to days of outings and activities. The following are the activities which we intend to carry out.

Visit the Art Museum

Imaginarium: Into the Space of Time

This year’s Imaginarium examines the concept of time and discusses the tales and theories that shape our memories and futures. Hopefully, the kids will appreciate how the movement of planets affects the charting of calendars.

The exhibition lasts from 6 May to 26 August 2018.

Ocean Fest! at Sentosa’s S.E.A Aquarium

Celebrating World Oceans Day, S.E.A. Aquarium is hosting a series of events for families to learn about plastic pollution and how to protect the world’s ocean.

The event will start on 25 May and end on 24 June 2018.

Visit LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort

Do you believe we have never been to Legoland before? It will be our first time here, and we are super excited about it!

However, note that Malaysia school holiday starts from 9 Jun and ends on 24 Jun 2018. Do try to avoid the crowds if you plan on going too!

Children’s Festival @ Gardens By The Bay

We are going to find toys coming alive in the Land of Toys and magic spells in action in the Land of Enchantment. Other the free performances and activities all around the Super Groove, we may also try out the Mirror Maze and go onto a rescue mission in the Toy Fort in the Magic Pass.

See official website here for details.

Getting Active with Active SG

My daughter and I have signed up for a 90-minute parent-child Wushu lesson. Can you imagine that learning Wushu was one of my childhood aspirations! Fortunately, my daughter is keen to explore the martial art. It will be a great bonding session with her.

There are many more programmes under Active SG. Most of the programmes are located in a sports hall. Find the ones your children and you like here. Plan early because some of the activities are very popular. Caveat, not all programs are for parent-and-child; you don’t have to feel pressured joining.

More holiday programs in the Community Centre near you

My daughter and I have signed up for another lesson nearby our place. It’s baking!

There are many other parent-and-child programs such as gardening and drone-flying available. Click here to explore.

If you notice, I like to look for affordable programs near my home.

More Free Stuff – Playgrounds!

Those of you who follow my blog for a while may notice that we like to search for new and free playgrounds or those that are more unique. Maybe we will look out for more playgrounds this June.

In case your family likes outdoor too, you may like to hang out in the following unique playgrounds.

Rock Climbing?

How about something more adventurous like rock-climbing? These are not free but affordable, and the kids are going to love it!

See my earlier post on our rock-climbing experience at Onsight, or you may want to try out a new kid-friendly bouldering gym known as Boulder+. Both gyms are located near Kallang.

Fun at Home

Paintings! I introduced Art for Kids Hub in my earlier blog post – What we did during the 1-week September school holidays. We can have art lessons without getting out of the house, and again, it’s free!

Another indoor activity you can carry out at home with your lower primary child is Dinosaur Bones Digging. Huh? It is a set of digging toy comprising a plaster block with plastic dinosaur bones embedded, and some tools to help the child with his excavation process. We spent two fun days digging and assembling the dinosaur bones.

See our experience in our earlier post here.
